PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lens drive device capable of improving the workability of a lens position adjustment by extending an opening part for position adjustment while being downsized. SOLUTION: The lens drive device includes: an approximately parallelepipedic housing 2; a first lens holder 3 housed in the housing 2; a first guide member 13a; a first drive mechanism 7; a first detection sensor 4a that detects the position of the first lens holder 3 in the direction of an optical axis; a second lens holder 5; a second guide member 13b; a second drive mechanism 9; a second detection sensor 4b that detects the position of the second lens holder 5 in the direction of the optical axis; and the aperture 10 made in one side face of the housing and used for lens adjustment. The first drive mechanism 7 is disposed on an arbitrary first side of the quadrangular cross-section of the housing 2. The second drive mechanism 9 is disposed on a second side opposite to the first side. The first and second guide members 13 are located on a third side adjacent to the first side. The first and second detection sensors 4 are located on a fourth side opposite to the third side. The aperture 10 for lens adjustment is located in the side face of the third side.
