PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a leakage air volume at the time of full closure of a throttle valve having an inner peripheral face of a valve resin part connected to an outer peripheral face of a disc-like valve metallic part. SOLUTION: At the time of injection molding of the annular valve resin part 6 connected to the outer peripheral face 41 of the disc-like valve metallic part 5, because a bore inner diameter face 43 of a cylindrical part 2 of a throttle body 1 is used as a part of a mold for forming an outer peripheral side edge face 44 of the valve resin part 6 corresponding to a valve outer peripheral part of the throttle valve 4, the outer peripheral side edge face shape of the valve resin part 6 of the throttle valve 4 can be made to copy the bore inner diameter face shape of the cylindrical part 2. Therefore, the effects of reduced leakage air volume at the time of full closure of the throttle valve 4, and improved fuel economy can be obtained. Further, as the throttle valve 4 can be operated to open/close normally, the intake air amount near the fully closed position of the throttle valve 4 can be delicately controlled.
