PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin foam excellent in liquidity of the resin when foaming and which foam is safe, low in load on environment, furthermore, high in foaming and excellent in flexibility. SOLUTION: This resin foam is characterized by containing an (a) and a (b) components. The (a) component denotes a thermoplastic polymer, the (b) component denotes a surface-treated metal hydroxide. The metal elements in the metal hydroxide are preferably at least one metal element selected from the group consisting of aluminum, magnesium, calcium, nickel, cobalt, tin, zinc, copper, iron, titanium and boron.
