PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inhibiting tumor metastasis, especially inhibiting metastasis without causing a serious side effect. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the therapeutic method of administering gamma globulin for treating malignant tumors, especially inhibiting tumor metastasis, and for reinforcing treatment of primary cancerous tumors. The treatment of a broad spectrum of cancerous diseases will be effective by administering a preparation containing the intact gamma globulin or fragments of the globulins. The gamma globulin preparation is administered parenterally, preferably via intravenous, intracavitary or subcutaneous routes, either as a sole agent or in combination with other agents or methods which are commonly used for cancer treatment.
