PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for creating a seaweed bed improving efficiency in undersea work and enabling reduction in construction costs of seaweed bed creation targeting an existing creation basis through using seaweed seeds and seedlings for transplanting. SOLUTION: The method for creating a seaweed bed comprises the following process performed by an undersea work diver 1: bringing a compressed air cylinder 8 for a power source in the vicinity of the creation basis 2 such as a concrete block; forming an anchor hole 4 using a pneumatic punching drill 3 connected to the cylinder via a hose 9; and fixing a plate-like seaweed seeds and seedlings supporting tool 5 where the seaweed seeds and seedlings are supported, via an appropriate anchor material 6. The seaweed seeds and seedlings fixed to the supporting tool act as supply sources for planospores necessary for creation of the seaweed bed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
