<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus employing a mechanism that detects the opening and closing states of a plurality of opening/closing covers by one detector without providing detectors on the respective covers independently, respectively. <P>SOLUTION: A switch holder 21 provided to slide in an image forming apparatus body while holding a micro switch 24 is moved by a side cover protrusion 12 moving with the closing operation of a side cover to a position where the hinge lever 25 of the micro switch 24 is pressed by a top cover protrusion 11 moving with the closing operation of a top cover. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
