<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of easily and accurately detecting concentration of a fuel solution. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell system 100 comprises a fuel cell 104 which generates electric energy by electrochemical reaction, an ultrasonic sensor 164 that detects physical information about the methanol solution used for generating the electric energy in the fuel cell 104 based on the propagation speed of ultrasonic waves in the methanol solution, a voltage sensor 168 for detecting the electrochemical information of the methanol solution based on the open circuit voltage of the fuel cell 104, and first and second temperature sensors 166 and 170 for detecting temperature of the methanol solution. It further comprises a CPU172 which acquires the concentration of the methanol solution based on the physical information as well as the concentration of it based on the electrochemical information, and selects one concentration bared on the detected temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
