<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular steering control system capable of suppressing current consumption while preventing fluctuations in a steering angle when an actual steering angle does not coincide with a target steering angle with the actual steering angle set at other than zero in starting up the system. <P>SOLUTION: This vehicular steering control system includes (1) a steering motor 5 for applying a steering torque to front wheels 10a, 10b, (2) a steering angle sensor for detecting a steering angle of the front wheels 10a, 10b and (3) a steering controller 8 for performing an absolute steering control for the steering motor 5 so as to match the actual steering with the target steering angle using previously detected actual steering angle. The steering controller 8 performs a relative steering angle control for the steering motor 5 based on a relative angle with the target steering angleθtc set at zero until a predetermined period of time Ta has elapsed when an initial absolute steering angleθtaf detected at the time of starting the control of the motor is set at other than zero. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
