CONVERSION JOINT AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a conversion joint used for connection between a metal pipe and a synthetic resin pipe and positively holding the airtightness of an overlap part between a metal cylindrical body for connecting the metal pipe and an outer layer formed of synthetic resin to connect the synthetic resin pipe.

SOLUTION: A seal ring 3 formed of rubber and fitted to the cylindrical body 1 is clamped by a ring-like pressing body 4 formed of synthetic resin. The injection-molded outer layer 2 formed of synthetic resin, and the ring-like pressing body 4 are fusion-integrated. The bearing pressure of the seal ring 3 clamped by the cylinder body 1 and the ring-like pressing body 4 is set higher than molding pressure in molding the outer layer 2.
