<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a biological specimen that allows microscopic observation by transmitted illumination of the biological specimen, facilitates handling of the specimen, allows frozen storage, and can introduce the biological specimen into all mass spectrometers. <P>SOLUTION: In this method for producing a biological specimen sample, a transparent conductive sheet having a transparent conductive layer on a flexible transparent base is used as a support body, and the biological specimen including a cell or tissue is prepared on a conductive layer surface of the support body. This direct mass spectrometry of the biological specimen comprises processes of: preparing the biological specimen sample produced using the method for producing the biological specimen; and supplying a matrix to the biological specimen and performing the mass spectrometry of protein in the biological specimen using an MALDI mass spectrometer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
