PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent ink droplets from adhering to an optical observation means when the nozzle of an inkjet head or the droplets being discharged from the nozzle are observed by the optical observation means. SOLUTION: This inkjet head evaluating device is equipped with the inkjet head 1 which discharges the ink droplets from the nozzle, a light source which irradiates the nozzle 2, the optical observation means 20 which observes the reflected light from the nozzle, and an ink droplet flying orbit changing means 38. The ink droplet flying orbit changing means 38 changes the flying orbit of the ink droplets so that the adhesion of the ink droplets being discharged from the nozzle to the optical observation means 20 may be avoided.
