PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection apparatus that easily specifies and selects an object to be detected for control suitable for the object. SOLUTION: When detecting the object to be detected using a detection means 102, the detection apparatus 101 causes an IC tag reader 105 to issue a request to the transmitting and receiving means 110 of an IC tag 107 to read user information 109 stored in a storage means 108, and causes a control means 104 to perform control suitable for the user information read, such as selective use of a plurality of reporting means 103.
