PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the enlargement of a word database in such a type of a system for evaluating a document content by referring to a word database, and for reflecting the evaluation result on the word database. SOLUTION: An electronic evaluation device determines whether or not electronic mail has a suitable content based on words included in the electronic mail. In this case, the suitability of each word is registered in a database called suitability information, and the propriety of the electronic mail is determined as the overall evaluation of the suitability of each word. The determination result of the electronic mail is reflected on the suitability information. When a word which is not registered in the suitability information is included in the electronic mail, the word is newly registered in the suitability information, and when predetermined erasure conditions are established afterwards, the word is removed from the suitability information.
