PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the thickness of a compound-eye imaging apparatus without involving inconvenience such as making it difficult to manufacture the apparatus or taking long time to recompose an image. SOLUTION: The compound-eye imaging apparatus 1 includes: an optical lens array 3 in which a plurality of optical lenses 3a are integrally formed; a diaphragm member 7 disposed on the upper side of the optical lens array 3; a light receiving element array 4 for picking up a plurality of images formed by the plurality of optical lenses 3a; a light intercepting block 5 for sectioning a space between the optical lens array 3 and the light receiving element array 4 so that rays of light emitted from the plurality of optical lenses 3a do not interfere with one another; an optical filter 6 disposed under the light intercepting block 5; and an image recomposing means for recomposing one image from the plurality of images picked up by the light receiving element array 4. In the compound-eye imaging apparatus 1, the optical lenses 3a of the optical lens array 3 is formed by molding a glass material whose refractive index increases from the entering direction (direction of the diaphragm member 7) of light to the emitting direction (direction of the optical filter 6) thereof.
