PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an address driving method for a plasma display. SOLUTION: The plasma display comprises at least one scan line and at least one common electrode. The address driving method uses the following driving method. First, the plasma display is in a reset period and uniformalizes the wall charge distribution in a cell by driving the scan lines using a scan voltage. When the plasma display is in an address period, a common voltage that changes with time is applied to the common electrode. Lastly, the plasma display is in a sustain period, and a display cell is sustained in a discharge state. By this driving method, not only are delays in discharging for high-speed addressing shortened, but also the voltage margin of a panel voltage will increase. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
