PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing colloidal silver having high safety and also capable of holding the stability over a long period by a simple operation. SOLUTION: Protein of 1 pts.wt. and a water-soluble silver compound of 0.015 to 0.05 pts.wt. are mixed in water, and thereafter, the pH is regulated to 8 to 11, thus colloidal silver can be prepared without using a reducing agent.
