PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting the prognosis of colon cancer patient, especially a postoperative survival time and a diagnostic kit useful for the method. SOLUTION: The method for predicting the prognosis of a female colon cancer patient comprises assaying the expression of LST-2 in the cancerous tissue of a female colon cancer patient. The expression of LST-2 is assayed, for example, by using an anti-LST-2 antibody. Preferably, the anti-LST-2 antibody is a monoclonal antibody for recognizing an intracellular domain at the C-terminal of LST-2. The anti-LST-2 monoclonal antibody is obtained.
