PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine capable of keeping player's interest in a game and freshness for a long time by not only including contents with a game property for the change of performance images displayed on an image display device but also giving information suggesting a won role to a player and making the player have the expectations of the possibility of winning a special role. SOLUTION: The slot machine has a plurality of performance patterns for displaying a first performance image to be displayed when the prescribed number of stop switches are operated from the plurality of stop switches and a display form of a prior performance image to result in the first performance image at a display device in a prescribed order, and is also provided with an image control means for selecting the performance pattern to be displayed from the plurality of performance patterns by deciding the prescribed number of the stop switches to be operated in order to display the first performance image.
