<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having an image reading part for reading the image of an original, an operation part provided in front of the image reading part and an image forming part for forming a recorded image on a recording sheet and constituted so that the recording sheet already recorded may be ejected to paper ejecting space between the image reading part and the image forming part and the recording sheet can be taken out from the front aperture and the side aperture of the paper ejecting space, and to prevent the image from being distorted due to the downward distortion of the operation part and the image reading part. <P>SOLUTION: The front end part 7E of a body housing part 7D positioned upper than the paper ejecting space 6 is arranged so as to be deviated to the more backward side of the body housing 7 than the front external surface 7F of the body housing part 7D lower than the paper ejecting space 6.
