PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep both electrodes in an inactive state over a long time when a system is not operated, and to restrain performance degradation.
SOLUTION: The fuel cell system controls the opening and closing of: a hydrogen supply on/off valve 9 for controlling the supply of hydrogen supplied to the fuel electrode 2 based on gas pressure of the fuel electrode 2 of the fuel cell stack 1 and gas pressure of the oxidizer electrode 3 of the fuel cell stack 1; an air supply on/off valve 11 for controlling the supply of air supplied to the oxidizer electrode 3; a hydrogen exhaust on/off valve 12 for controlling the exhaust of unused hydrogen exhausted from the fuel electrode 2; and an air exhaust control valve 13 for controlling the exhaust of unused air exhausted from the oxidizer electrode 3. This fuel cell system is configured by filling a fuel electrode 2 and an oxidizer electrode 3 of the fuel cell stack 1 with nitrogen above the atmospheric pressure in stopping the operation of the fuel cell system.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
