<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a function for automatically inputting a login name. <P>SOLUTION: A digital composite machine 100A authenticates a user by using the login name and a password. When the user carrying an IC card 10, by which an identification signal is transmitted by radio communication, comes close to the digital composite machine 100A, a state is obtained where only the login name is displayed on an operation panel so as to receive the password (in a figure 1(b)).
