<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight unit for liquid crystal display device capable of effectively improving the efficiency of light emission of lamp. <P>SOLUTION: The backlight unit for liquid crystal display device comprises: a lamp array 130 containing a plurality of lamps 131 to 134 for irradiating light; a cover bottom 150 housing the lamp array 130; a diffusion plate 120 which is positioned on the upper part of the lamp array 130 to diffuse light irradiated from the plurality of lamps 131 to 134; an optical film which is positioned on the upper part of the diffusion plate 120 and converts the travelling direction of light made incident through the diffusion plate 120 so as to become perpendicular to the diffusion plate 120; and a resistor 141 which is positioned between the cover bottom 150 and the lamp array 130 and is formed so as to face each of the plurality of lamps 131 to 134. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
