<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display capable of sensing presence/absence of contact and a contact position by providing an optical sensor and other sensing parts. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display having a contact sensing function includes a first display panel, a second display panel facing and separated from the first display panel, a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first and second display panels, a plurality of sensor data lines formed on the second display panel, a plurality of variable capacitors of which capacitance thereof is varied by pressure, the variable capacitors connected to the sensor data lines, a plurality of reference capacitors connected to the sensor data lines, and first reset transistors and second reset transistors connected to the sensor data lines and supplying a first reset voltage and a second reset voltage to the sensor data lines at different times, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
