<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable inductor by which the margin of variability of the inductance value can be increased without reducing the Q-value of its main coil. <P>SOLUTION: The variable inductor 10 is provided with a laminated body 12 and a switch 26. The laminated body 12 is provided with a main inductor 14 and a control inductor 18 inside which are adjacent and face each other. Terminal electrodes 22A-22F to which ends of the main inductor 14 and the control inductor 18 are connected are formed on the surface of the laminated body 12 in appropriate positions. The switch 26 is arranged between the terminal electrodes 22D and 22F which are connected with the ends of the control inductor 18. In this way, by arranging the main inductor 14 and the control inductor 18 facing each other in the direction of lamination, the degree of coupling can be improved and the variability of the inductance value can be increased without reducing the Q-value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
