<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a player to enjoy a game with variety. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with a drum, disposed on a pachinko machine to preliminarily display a plurality of symbols in a circumferential surface, of which rotation direction differs depending on the initial state. The rotating direction and the origin position of the drum are detected based on Hi-states and Low-states of detection signals outputted by detection by a reflection plate 86 in an origin detecting sensor 80A.
