摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electric power consumption of a motor by installing an electric control means such as the motor in a variable valve train synchronously rotating with a camshaft in a variable valve system of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: A camshaft timing pulley 14 is connected to the camshaft 20 via a vortex disk 21 and a link 22. The vortex disk 21 is integrated with the motor 23. The motor 23 is composed of a coil 30, a magnet 31, a bearing 26, a slip ring 29 and a brush holder 27. Electric power from an ECU 6 is imparted to the coil 30 via the brush holder 27 and the slip ring 29. The vortex disk 21 connected to the magnet 31 makes rotary motion to a coil 24 (the camshaft timing pulley 14) by controlling an electric current imparted to the coil 30, and controls a phase of the camshaft 20 to the camshaft timing pulley 14.
