PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor capable of improving waterproofing property of a skirt guard lighting system. SOLUTION: Railing panels 1 are erected from a getting-on-and-off entrance on one side over a getting-on-and-off entrance on the other side on both sides of a step row circulating and moving. An inner ledge 4 is provided on an inner side of the railing panel, and a skirt guard panel 5 is provided below it. A joint member 6 is provided between an upper part of the skirt guard panel and a lower part of the inner ledge. The skirt guard lighting system 7 for illuminating an underfoot part of a passenger during conveyance is provided so as to position it on an outer side of the skirt guard panel and below the inner ledge. A droplet prevention cover 8 formed to have vertical cross section having substantially U-shape is provided so as to surround a light source part of the skirt guard lighting system between the skirt guard panel and it, and a tip part of its upper wall is connected with the joint member.
