PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric nailing machine which is compact as a whole and has a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The nailing machine 1 comprises a driving block 18 which is movably arranged inside a housing 2 and is provided with a rack 18A, a flywheel 9 to be driven by a motor 8, a driving rotary shaft 10 arranged so as to be coaxial with the flywheel 9, a coil spring 11 fixed to the driving rotary shaft 10, a driven rotary shaft 12 which is arranged to be coaxial with the driving rotary shaft 10, and a spring contacting portion 12B at one end of which is inserted into the coil spring 11, a pinion 12A which is provided on the driven rotary shaft 12 and engages with a rack 18A, a ball 16 which is inserted into a hole 12a formed in the driven rotary shaft 12 and energizes the other end side 11B of the coil spring 11 by projecting from the surface of the driven rotary shaft 12 by an energizing portion 15 arranged in the driven rotary shaft 12, and a solenoid for controlling the projection of the ball 16 from the surface of the driven rotary shaft 12.
