<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to process an image based on an appropriate setting for printing functions as well as a simplification for setting the printing functions. <P>SOLUTION: When a print server receives a print job, it specifies an application name used at a client terminal from a drawing instruction for a print job, and reads out a standard setting for the print functions being set for each application from a database (step 100-104). Then the print server compares the standard setting with a setting for print functions of the print job, and if a difference is found, setting of the print functions based on the standard setting is performed after warning processing (step 106-114), and image processing and a print processing are performed based on the print functions being set (step 112-114). Consequently, the image process and the print process can be executed while the simplification for setting the print functions is implemented on an appropriate print function at the client terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
