<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation storage device for a spent nuclear fuel rod. <P>SOLUTION: The spent nuclear fuel rod is attached, and a cladding tube for the spent nuclear fuel rod is decladded thereafter while transferring it downwards by a pressure pin. The cladding tube and a pellet included in it are separated by decladding separation table, to be separation-stored respectively in separate storage containers. The pellet comprising uranium oxide (UO<SB>2</SB>) and the cladding tube are automatically separated-collected thereby from the spent nuclear fuel rod, efficient treatment is possible thereby, and safety and automation are attained thereby. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
