<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve each performance such as sensitivity, specificity or rapidity by reducing or removing a viscous component in an assay reaction field in an immunoassay. <P>SOLUTION: In the immunoassay, the viscous component included in a specimen is brought into contact with a basic polysaccharide, thereby to form a complex of the viscous component and the basic polysaccharide, and the complex is removed by some means.
