PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic etching aluminum foil having narrow and long etching pits in which an aspect ratio of the etching pit to be obtained based on an average length/average diameter exceeds 45. SOLUTION: The electrolytic etching aluminum foil has a large number of etching pits in which the aspect ratio of the etching pit to be obtained by an average length/average diameter is not less than 55. The aluminum foil can be manufactured in such a way that an aluminum original foil is dipped into a sodium hydroxide solution of concentration of 1-8% to execute pre-processing, thermal processing is applied at a temperature of about 400°C after the pre-processing, and constant current etching is executed in a mixed liquid of a hydorchloric acid and a sulfuric acid.
