PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross groove actuator to which a cross groove type constant velocity joint is applied by partly changing a structure of the cross groove type constant velocity joint. SOLUTION: A cross groove actuator is equipped with an inner ring 11 having a plurality of axial linear track grooves 16 inclined to an axial line in an outer peripheral surface, an outer ring 12 having a plurality of axial linear track grooves 17 inclined in an a direction opposed to the track grooves 16 in the inner ring 11 in an inner peripheral surface, a ball 13 embedded in a cross part of the track groove 16 in the inner ring 11 and the track groove 17 in the outer ring 12, and a cage 14 arranged between the outer peripheral surface of the inner ring 11 and the inner peripheral surface of the outer ring 12 to hold the ball 13 between the track groove 16 in the inner ring 11 and the track groove 17 in the outer ring 12. The track grooves 16 of the inner ring 11 and the track grooves 17 of the outer ring 12 adjacent to each other are arranged in parallel, respectively. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
