PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact high strength bolt joint structure at low cost. SOLUTION: This high strength bolt joint structure 1 has: a plurality of joint plates stretched over beams 3a, 3b and provided so as to nip the beams 3a, 3b; and a plurality of high strength bolts tightened by passing through the joint plates and the beams 3a, 3b so as to join the beams 3a, 3b by resistance force generated among the joint plates and the beams 3a, 3b by tightening force of the high strength bolts. Here, a plurality of projections 9a are provided on faces in contact with the beams 3a, 3b of the joint plates, and bite surfaces of the beams 3a, 3b to generate resistance force. The projection 9a is like a cone, its bottom face has a recessed polygonal shape, its height and its width are equal, and a shape of the bottom face provides larger resistance force when compared with a projection having a projecting polygonal shape.
