PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a recovery time of earthquake control operation by installing an external switch for recovering earthquake control to a position near an elevator and operating it. SOLUTION: The elevator earthquake control recovery device is provided with: an earthquake sensor 6 operated when seismic intensity of a building installed with the elevator becomes a predetermined value or more; an elevator control device 1 for controlling the elevator such that an elevator car 3 is stopped at a predetermined position and earthquake control operation is performed when the earthquake sensor 6 is operated; and the external switch 7 for starting inspection operation in which the elevator is reciprocally operated at a low speed when the elevator control device 1 provided near an entrance of the building installed with the elevator performs earthquake control operation.
