<p>A method for modifying multimodal polyethylene is disclosed. The method comprises reacting a multimodal polyethylene in its solid state with a free radical initiator. The modified polyethylene has significantly increased melt strength, and it is suitable for many applications including blow molding, sheet, pipe, profile, extrusion coating, and foaming applications.</p> |
