The invention concerns an engine starting device (200) for motor vehicle, comprising a portable data medium (210) adapted to be coupled to a control unit (210) designed to be mounted on board a motor vehicle, the data medium (210) including data storage means, and means for non-contact transmission (240) of said data, the control unit (220) including non-contact communication means (250), data processing means, as well as an ignition switch (270) for controlling the effective implementation of said engine. The invention is characterized in that the data medium (210) is adapted to be detachably secured against an outer wall of the control unit (220), and in that the activation of the ignition switch (270) is carried out by acting directly on the data medium (210) when the latter is secured to said control unit (220). |
