Provided is a fuel cell system to allow a butane gas fuel to be supplied confidently and to allow a fuel cell system to be driven and operated continuously with a high efficiency. The fuel cell system comprises a fuel supply part which supplies fuel comprising butane as a main component; a reformer(140) which generates hydrogen from the fuel by the chemical catalytic reaction by a heat energy; a stack(170) which converts the electrochemical reaction of hydrogen and oxygen into an electric energy, and generates electricity; a vaporization part(190) which vaporizes the fuel and flows the vaporized fuel into the fuel cell system; and an auxiliary heat source which heats the vaporization part. Preferably the auxiliary heat source is the waste heat generated from the reformer. |
