The system has a frame (2) fixed to the ground, at base of a staircase, just before an initial stair, and laterally with respect to a normal passage zone of the staircase. A control unit assures a preset horizontal position of an apron (5) for all vertical positions of a slide, such that a platform (6) is moved from a lower position to an upper position and vice-versa along a preset path. The control unit has a guide roller, mounted on the apron, supporting against a guiding ramp (23) that is fixed laterally along the staircase. The slide is guided in vertical movement and the apron is guided in horizontal movement by a vertical column (22) and a guide rail, respectively.
