The support (20) has a base body (30) and a support unit (32) that is equipped with a support surface (40) receiving a separation shelf. The unit (32) is movable with respect to the body between utilization and storing positions. The unit projects from the body in the utilization position and retracts entirely in the body in the storing position so that a frontal surface (46) of the unit exposes a frontal surface (34) of the body. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle having two trunk separation shelf supports.
