PROCEDE ET INSTALLATION DE PRODUCTION D'UN GAZ DE SYNTHESE DEPOLLUE A PARTIR D'UNE CHARGE RICHE EN MATIERE ORGANIQUE

Pyrolysis or gasification of the charge in conditions forms a solid residue which can contain carbon and a gaseous phase or crude gas containing incondensable gases and heavy hydrocarbon vapors. The crude gases are then put in contact with a bed of catalytic solid particles in conditions such that a majority of the heavy hydrocarbon vapors are converted into incondensable gases. An Independent claim is also included for an installation to carry out the process with means (1,25,22) of thermal degradation by pyrolysis or gasification and means (13,3) of converting the resulting crude gases by a bed of solid catalytic particles (3) and means of recovering the gases produced. The means of thermal degradation has a rear chamber (24) containing the means of conversion or the means of conversion are external and placed downstream of the means of thermal degradation. The means of conversion are arranged in at least two sections placed in parallel, one inside the means of thermal degradation and one outside. The solid catalytic particles in the two sections can be of different natures. The bed of catalytic particles has a thickness such that the resulting pressure drop as the gas passes through it is not greater than 500 mbar. The installation also includes means of producing energy by combustion of the gases produced.
