<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the probability of image failure resulting from a decrease in AC input voltage, by preventing recording paper from being wrapped around a fixing film which is caused when there is an area where fixability is not satisfactory despite an increase in the rate of supply of power to a heating body although a low voltage power source operates when the AC input voltage decreases. <P>SOLUTION: In the case where the temperature detecting means of a heating body drops to a fixed temperature or below when an image forming apparatus is in the course of a recording operation on recording paper, the formation of a toner image on the recording paper is stopped. Alternatively, the number of rotations of a drive means is reduced when the temperature detecting means drops to a first temperature or below, and the formation of the toner image on the recording paper is stopped when it drops to a second temperature or below.
