<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing material capable of exerting a sufficient deodorizing performance over a long period, a manufacturing method therefor and a deodorizing method using the material. <P>SOLUTION: The deodorizing material is composed of a porous material having a large number of pores, and the porous material is granular and made from at least silica and alumina. A calcium phosphate, e.g. bone ingredient hydroxyapatite, is scattered in a support constituting the body of the deodorizing material. The method for manufacturing the deodorizing material comprises a mixing process, a granulating process and a heating process, carried out in this order. The deodorizing method is based on the biological deodorization of bad smell gases and comprises bringing bad smell gases into contact with an aggregate consisting of two or more of the deodorizing material to remove or decompose odorants in the gases. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
