<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head permitting safe and easy measurement of the head speed of a golf club by a head speed measuring device using a magnetic sensor without impairing the hitting performance or outside appearance of the golf club head. <P>SOLUTION: The golf club head 10 comprises a plate member 70 with a magnetic generating source, and a golf club head body 60 with a recess 80 formed on the surface. The plate member 70 is pasted to the recess 80. The surface of the golf club head body 60 around the recess 80 and the surface of the plate member 70 are flushed, and the contour of the recess 80 is nearly the same as the plate member 70.
