<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head where joining force of an FRP body and a metallic crown part is strong. <P>SOLUTION: A hollow golf club head has a face section 2, a sole section 3, a side section 4, a crown section 5, and a hosel section 6, wherein the principal part of the crown section is made of fiber reinforced plastic (a FRP body 30), at least the face section 2 and the front edge section of the crown section continuous with the face section, are made of a metal (a metal body 10). At the upper surface of a metal crown section 15, a large number of recessed holes 15a are provided.
