<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerizable compound which can be polymerized by electromagnetic wave irradiation with a low integration amount at room temperature in an open state in air and can induce a hybrid orientation in before and after fixing its orientation by the electromagnetic wave irradiation, and a composition containing the compound; and to provide a polymer which hardly receives polymerization inhibition by oxygen in the polymerization in an open state in air, is satisfactory in characteristics such as heat resistance, exhibits a high adhesiveness to TAC, being hardly peeled off from TAC (triacetylcellulose), and has a hybrid orientation. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided at least one compound represented by formula (1), a composition containing the compound, and a polymer prepared by polymerizing the composition. In formula (1), R<SP>1</SP>is -CF<SB>3</SB>or the like; A<SP>1</SP>is 1,4-cyclohexylene or the like; X<SP>1</SP>is -O- or a single bond; X<SP>2</SP>is a single bond or the like; X<SP>3</SP>is -O-, -COO-, or a single bond; Y<SP>1</SP>, Y<SP>2</SP>, Y<SP>3</SP>, and Y<SP>4</SP>are each independently hydrogen or fluorine; and n is an integer of 1-20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
