PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device capable of executing correction processing corresponding to conditions at the time of image pickup by acquiring correction data corresponding to the conditions at the time of image pickup without emitting uniform light. SOLUTION: It is judged whether update of correction data is required or not. When it is confirmed that the update is required, the solid-state image pickup device 1 is operated in a reset mode by a signal control unit 6. A noise signal output when operated in the reset mode is stored in a frame memory 3 as the correction data. When the update is not required, the solid-state image pickup device 1 is operated in a normal mode by the signal control unit 6 and a video signal is output.
