PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guide a user's vehicle to the originally recommended route when the traffic congestion is solved, wherein a navigation system provided with a recommended route to the destination searched the detour for evading the traffic congestion interval on the route, based on the traffic information acquired in the past. SOLUTION: When the navigation system is indicated to search the detour by a user, it stores the searched recommended route data and the route guidance data in the different place, and successively updates the guidance route according to the position of his or her own vehicle and also watches the traffic congestion information included in the periodic traffic information.
