PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle equipped with a mobile type step structured so that an occupant can get on and off safely to/from the vehicle while he steps on the step easily from a doorway when the degree of the doorway opening is half opened and also he can get on and off safely to/from the vehicle even in case the degree of the doorway opening is full open or near thereto, whereby capable of holding the step in positions to suit the half opened condition, full open condition, and a degree near thereto and enabling the occupant to get on and off safely to/from the vehicle. SOLUTION: The vehicle equipped with the mobile type step installed below the doorway of the vehicle and configured movably by an actuator between the accommodation position located nearer the vehicle body and the overhung position overhanging to outside the body is furnished with a doorway opening sensor to sense the degree of opening of the doorway and a step controller to hold the step in the overhung position when the degree of opening lies within a certain reference opening range set between the full open and full closed conditions on the basis of the sensing value of the degree of opening of the doorway and to hold the step in the accommodation position when the degree of opening exceeds the reference opening range.
