PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect seams without giving feeling of foreign matters to a seated person, and to obtain a design effect by realizing various views of a sewing line depending on the angle of the eyes. SOLUTION: Two upholstery pieces 11 and 12 are sewn up by both of margins 17 and 18 with their front surfaces 13 and 14 superposed on each other. One of the two upholstery pieces 11 and 12 is folded to the sides of both of the margins, gathered into a cylindrical bead corresponding to a piping part in the vicinity of sewing up of both of margins 17 and 18, and sewn onto both of margins 17 and 18 by a single stitch 21.
